Dyal Custom Homes is a family-owned builder based in Kerrville, Texas. What began as a small local operation has grown into one of the Hill Country's most trusted names in custom home building — without ever losing the hands-on approach that started it.
Our story
Mike and Lisa Dyal built this company on a simple idea: that a custom home should be built the way you'd build your own — carefully, transparently, and with people you trust. Decades later, that idea still governs how we run every project.
Mike is on job sites most mornings. Lisa keeps the business, the selections and the client experience running with a level of care most builders reserve for their showcase homes. Our superintendents live and work in this community, and many of our trade partners have been with us for the better part of twenty years.
We build a limited number of homes each year. That is deliberate. It's the only way to give each project the oversight it needs — and the only way we know how to work.

Mike Dyal
President & CEO
Mike Dyal is a third-generation home builder and has been building fine custom homes in the Texas Hill Country since 1996. Mike is a native of Kerrville, having graduated from Tivy High School in 1984 and from Texas A & I University in 1989 with a B.B.A. in general business. After a six-year career in the NFL, he returned home to launch his homebuilding career. Mike handles all areas of project management, client consultation, project estimation, and acquisition of materials. He has served two terms as President of the Hill Country Homebuilder’s Association, is a member of the Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce, was a founding board member of the Young Men’s Business League, and is currently the President of the Tivy Athletic Booster Club.
Lisa Dyal
Vice President
Lisa Dyal graduated from Texas A & I University in 1990 with a B.S. in Education. After three years of teaching school, she transitioned to Dyal Custom Homes while also raising three beautiful children: Kendall, Cade, and Karlyn. Lisa has served on the Board of the Volunteer Services Council, on numerous PTOs, and is currently on the leadership team for the Sisterhood for Good. Lisa currently works hand-in-hand with our interior decorators, coordinating specifications and selections on all jobs. When she’s not working, she enjoys working out with Mike, eating healthy, wake surfing, and spending time with friends and family. Mike and Lisa have been married for 26 years and feel very blessed to call Kerrville home.
Hugh Holland
Superintendent
Hugh Holland has been building custom homes since 2003. Hugh graduated from Garland High School in 1999 and from Southwest Texas State in 2003. He is a superintendent with Dyal Custom Homes and is responsible for the daily on-site operations on the jobsite, scheduling of subcontractors, and quality control. Hugh believes that good communication with the team is key to staying on schedule, on budget, and having happy clients. Hugh married his college sweetheart, Christel, and together, they are raising their two beautiful daughters, Katelyn and Lauren. Hugh enjoys anything to do with hunting and fishing or his kids playing sports.
